Does user interface really matter?
I've been using a few programs for...well, not all my life, but probably since the beginning of 2000s. While there are a lot of different programs to choose from for everything you do these days, what is it that makes me use one or the other program or app? As one thing it's definitely the features it has, the features that you need, but at least for me it's definitely also about the simplicity and about the features they don't have.

Did Trump manage to save Twitter?

Did Trump manage to save Twitter?

2017-03-09 02:49:06

In my eyes, Trump has given a huge boost to Twitter, especially considering that these days everyone are talking about Twitter every day. Everyone are even posting screenshots, or actual twitter messages inside their articles, and news stories. But has the free publicity actually helped twitter to come out of the hole they were in?

Twitter has been struggling to make money for some time now and their growth hasn't been too fast lately, but with the coming of Twitter troll Trump you'd definitely expect Twitter to have won huge from it.

However, according to numbers that might not be the case. The U.S. election madness actually didn't drive an uptick in Twitter sign ups and Twitter only grew by two million sign ups during this time. At the same time Facebook grew by 72 million.

The two million active user growth, instead of being the best time of the year for Twitter, actually translated to the slowest quarter all year. Its revenue for the quarter was $717.2 million, which is 1% increase from last year. And their net loss was $167.1 million for the quarter.
